By Samantha Castle, Reporter

Having just arrived back from a lovely hot, sunny and relaxing tropical holiday in India I am now getting back into the swing of things here in the editorial department at the Weekly News and catching up with all the news and views from the Conwy Valley.
Winter has definitely settled in and I’m feeling the cold more than ever, as you probably are too, but I bet you didn’t miss me!
Here at the Weekly News we have an amazing ability to rally round and cover each others patches when holidays or illness occur, even when we’ve been down to a three man (and women) team in the past we’ve managed to get some incredible copy and produce all editions of the paper to the highest of standards.
It is in this continuing effort to ensure equal coverage of the North Wales area’s that myself, Martin Williams and David Rutland will soon be holding ‘Reporter Surgeries’ in order to gather greater coverage of the local news and views of our readers.
I myself will be at various locations in the Conwy Valley in the coming weeks, and will be kicking off my surgeries firstly in Llanrwst at the historical Almshouses Museum next Thursday (November 30), then moving onto Betws-y-Coed to the join the Royal Oak Hotel’s Turkey and Tinsel dinners the following Thursday.
Finally I will move onto Glan Conwy for an afternoon at Paninis Cafe, and I do hope they will pass Christmas lunch my way! So look out for the advertisements and posters and come along to give me your good and bad news and general interest stories.
If the surgeries prove popular and worthwhile then they will continue on a monthly basis so everyone in the Valley who wants to contact the Weekly News can introduce themselves and share their news.
