Climb every mountain

Covering the Conwy Valley patch often includes reports of search and rescues by the two mountain rescue associations covering the countryside and mountain ranges of Conwy and Snowdonia. Ogwen Valley and Llanberis rescue teams both have their work cut out as they are called out on a daily basis, more so at weekends and peak holiday times.

ETHICS... every day at work, whether you're a taxi driver, mechanic, brain surgeon, journalist or police officer, we all have decisions to make and responsibilities to others.
Indeed the choices we make may affect our careers, our colleagues and the people who rely on the work we do, the information we provide.
But when a member of the public provided us with pictures of a police officer parking illegally and in front of a drop-kerb designed to help the disabled so he could "amble" into Llandudno’s Kentucky Fried Chicken - it was harder to resist than the takeaway's own Wicked Meal!

SEAGULLS. Terrors of the skies, rats with wings, airborne vermin, call them what you will. Some people might even like them.
But anybody who has tried to enjoy a nice ice cream or sausage roll on the promenade in Llandudno or on Conwy's quay will probably have horror stories to tell of being attacked by starved seagulls intent on stealing food any which way they can.

I admit it's been a long time coming, but we've been planning this launch for months and months, and due to various delays it has been pushed back a fair few weeks more than we'd have liked. Rumours that we forgot to make sure we owned the Weekly News web domain are completely unfounded...
